SE1 Training Fingers & Position - Memory Exercise
46s
🎻 1. Memory
Good shifting starts with memory—not just technique.
To shift accurately, you need to know three things:
where you start, where you go, and the distance between them.
The more senses you use, the stronger your memory becomes.
For example:
knowing the note (like a D on the A string)
seeing where it is on the fingerboard
feeling the position of your hand and arm
and hearing the sound in your mind
All these together make your shifts more reliable.
When you practice, try focusing on each of these elements separately, then combine them.
The exercises in this video will help you remember both the position of the notes and the feeling of your hand and arm."
